The man known as "Da 'Cro" has long been regarded as an enigma of sorts. Why does he do the weird things he does? No one knows for sure, probably the least of whom Cro himself. Before "B.S.", he worked as camera man for the entire run of ShockWave Wrestling (before it was replaced with ShockWave: Fighting Spirit), and had several of his own on-air, non-wrestling chat sessions. Even when he wasn't on the air, his presence was frequently hinted to by Sledge, the Master, and Eric S. When asked by Sledge to "cro-host" his show, Cro wasn't so sure that he would be able to survive on camera for a whole season. His confidence grew as that first season went on, and soon it was a natural thing. He even added a new concept: the game show "Facts are Facts" in which callers were urged to play along with the contestants as they tried to out-fact each other. Cro brought alot of interesting things to the table, along with a different perspective to match. It would be a game of point-counterpoint between he and Sledge, with Cro's devout accept-no-substitutes Christianity and Sledge's unrelenting agnosticism and insipidness. The first noticeable clash was when, tired of hearing Sledge ramble off rumors that weren't true, told him to get to some facts. Sledge cruelly had a boombox planted underneath his seat. And when he pressed play, an unrelenting wave of jamtitude coursed through Cro's body as his limbs flailed back and forth in an uncontrolable bodily tantrum. There was a dark side to him, however. Cro was deeply obsessed with disposable pop idol Britney Spears. This was felt hardest of all on that fatefull week he did his solo special on Britney. Sledge's frustration in the preparation of said special spurned him to vent his anger in a skittro in which he complained about Britney's fluffery, and the town of Kentwood, Louisiana's lack of anyting better to do than topay her homage and kiss her ass. Cro did not find this amusing and, during the second season, quit on the air in a vulgarity-filled tirade that knocked the show off the loop that night. The two later reconciled their differences, and Cro played himself in the "B.S." movie "Some Dreamery," which was based on that incident. He was also in the last highlight special, as well as the last "Facts are Facts" with Master Brilliance and Comishuner Baer as unexpected guests. His last public access appearances included a guest commentary spot during a match that Sledge was guest refereeing between Master Brilliance and Danny Justice, on Wrestling Prime X-Treme, as well as his own ill-recieved special Yit News. He also went to Providence, Rhode Island to audition for MTV's Real World. Sadly, he didn't make it. |
